Saturday, January 10, 2009- Feeding the Needy in Miller Park. The love of Christ was present in Miller Park through the hands, feet, and hearts of twenty young people this day.

Twenty senior high youth showed up to give of their time and to give of themselves to serve soup , fruit, and drinks to about 30 needy and homeless people. The young people did a wonderful job not just serving soup but, more importantly, speaking to and, at times, praying with the poor. Several youth left to buy a blanket for a man who asked for one to sleep on that night. They also prayed with him. Project
“doers” of the Word, and not just readers or watchers. These are the sacrifices that are pleasing to God.
Thanks to everyone who went with us. A big thanks, too, to all who prepared the soup and thanks to those who prayed for us or supported us in other ways.
Thanks to Brian Grow for letting us use the military canteen kit. It kept the soup hot all day!
